Last week we had an unexpected visitor show up for dinner. This opossum must have woken up from a catnap and felt a little hungry. He feasted on the catfood we had left out for a cat we saw walking around in the snow by our house. He didn't seem to mind my girls watching him at all! What sort of animals have you seen searching for dinner this winter?

once we were having a party and we left the gradge door open for people to walk in. we were all on the deck and then we heard something. we went to the gradge and saw our garbge can on the ground. and my dad said the dog hit it over. then it feel again. my dad and uncle looked inside the found a racoon in there. it got scared it ran away.

Thanks Molly, that is so nice of you to say.
Erin- Raccoons are so sneaky! I remember when I was younger, raccoons were always making a mess with our garbage! My dad was so mad at them!! Every so often we have baby raccoons (kits) on our deck! I love seeing them, but my husband does not!!
